Osijek – historical city in the land in eastern Croatia – Slavonia, on the river Drawą. It is inhabited by 130 thousand. residents and is the fourth-largest conurbation country. It is the administrative capital of Osječko-baranjskiej županiji

There are a number of establishments: oil, production of agricultural machinery, furniture, matches, building materials and high sugar. An important railway junction and the road junction. From 1697 onwards there is a continuous brewery.

The town is composed of the country’s cultural and academic center. There are several universities, including one of the four universities in Croatia.
